Alpha Resources

My Alpha is our free platform for registering for courses. We ask everyone who is implementing Alpha to register their course on My Alpha. It is completely free, and once you register, you have access to all the videos, training, and promotional materials you need.

This series of short tutorial videos will help and guide you on how to use our platform.

Register your course My Alpha and then click the red button “View and edit” from your course; there you will find several tabs, among them “Series Materials”, where you can download the videos of each session, and “Promote”, from where you can get the promotional materials.

Once you register your course at My Alpha, you can add your hosts and assistants via their email. This will allow them to download resources and access training sessions. To do so, click on the red button “View and edit” of your course and then select the tab “My Team”, where you can add them.

When you register your course My Alpha, you have the option to set it as public or private. All public courses are promoted on our page Try Alpha. If you change your mind after you've registered for your course, you can do so by selecting “Edit details” and making the changes there.

To promote your digital course, we have different promotional materials available, which you can access with your account. My Alpha, clicking on the option “Promote”.

Registering a course in my alpha

If you are registering for a course for the first time, you will need to register for free on our page first My Alpha. Once you do that and have logged in, follow the steps to register a new course.

If you already have an account with us and are looking to implement a new course, simply log in, choose the material you want to use, and create your Alpha. If you don't remember your password, you can generate a new one. new o Log in with Google

Yes, if you wish to edit the calendar or add a member to your course, log in to your account. My Alpha, go to your dashboard and click the red button “View and edit” from your course.

If you wish to change the Alpha series you are implementing, the start date, the time, or make it public or private, once inside click the red button “Details”.

Yes. Click on the red button “View and edit” from your course; once inside, click the red button “Details”. You can change the Alpha series you are using and click on the dropdown below “Selected series”, for example, to change from Alpha Series Youngsters Renewed a Alpha Ados: The Series.

Yes. We update our products and materials regularly to ensure you're always accessing the most current version. For this reason, it's good practice to register each course you implement. Additionally, it's very helpful to know how many courses are being conducted in Latin America so we can always provide you with the best support.

To add hosts and helpers to your Alpha course so they can see upcoming sessions and receive relevant information, go to the section “Team” Once you have registered your course, add their emails and they will receive an invitation to join the course. Keep in mind that your team members will not be able to make changes to your course registration; only administrators can do so.

If they don't receive the invitation, ask them to check their spam folder Spam or write to us at americas@alpha.org so I can help you.

Alpha Beta: The Series | Spanish (teens): It is designed for this generation, creatively and authentically addressing the questions that young people are really asking. The series introduces and explores the foundations of the Christian faith in a way that is relevant and engaging for them.

Alpha Series Young Adults (for young adults) 

- Alpha Series Youth (2013): First version of Alpha Youth Series, Ben and Jason invite us to talk about the foundations of the Christian faith in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. 

- Alpha Series Youth (2018): updated version of ASJ 2013, in which Ben and Jason address the same topics, but traveling to different parts of the world, with new guests, testimonies in a more contemporary way. 

- Alpha Series Youth Renewed: It's the same content as ASJ 2018, but with filmed responses from the streets of various Latin American countries, aiming for this version to be more relatable and regional. 

- Alpha: Youngsters Series I Elements: the same content, but it's a guide designed for youth leaders who want to use the Youth Alpha Series while maintaining its essence, using the videos but with some personal additions, such as testimonies from their own church. 

Alpha: Young Series Live Chats: A tool designed to convey the message of each episode, its core, writing, and some inspiring stories. It's not a restrictive script, but rather a guide to help you formulate your episode talk inspired by Alpha Serie Jóvenes, as it includes questions and key points.

Alpha The Series (adults)

Alpha The Series Nicky Gumbel and hosts Toby Flint and Gemma Hunt guide us through the traditional Alpha material in a relatable format. Each episode features stories and interviews from around the world, as well as visual illustrations and animated graphics. 

- Alpha The Series with conversation pauses: same content of Alpha The Series, which features a new interactive format with discussion breaks throughout each episode to encourage guest participation, as well as help hosts and assistants facilitate discussion time.

- Alpha Live (adults): These are downloadable transcripts that provide you with a template for giving live, in-person talks, instead of using videos. 

- Alpha with Nicky Gumbel (adults): presented by Alpha pioneer Nicky Gumbel, it presents each topic with humorous anecdotes, personal experiences, and Biblical relevance. The talks (29 minutes long each) were filmed at Holy Trinity Brompton, where Alpha began.

The best way to know which series is right for you is to watch the trailers of the different options or talk to someone from the Alpha team, who can give you some advice on choosing.

If you wish to watch the series in other languages, go to “Feature preview”. When setting up your series, you will be asked in which language you want to create your course. Select the language and you will be able to access the course in the chosen language. Please note that some series have more language options than others.

The Alpha Film Series It is the product with the greatest variety of languages and subtitles.

Both the Course for Couples and the Course for Engaged Couples are on a separate platform from Mi Alpha. To access the material, go to HERE

Mi alpha: technical advice

Go to the main login page and click on “I forgot my password. Also, if you have an account Gmail (Google), you can enter with it directly. 

We recommend accessing via the browser Google Chrome; clear your browser's cookies and refresh the page. If you don't see any changes, try opening it in a window incognito.

If the problem continues, send an email to americas@alpha.org.

Contact us at americas@alpha.org if you are experiencing technical difficulties using the page My Alpha, even if you are already using the Google Chrome browser and have tried updating it. This email is handled by the Alpha team in Latin America (not by a robot), and we will do our best to resolve the issue; if the problem persists, it will be forwarded to the Alpha digital team.

We will also notify the regional team to stay in touch with you; they will help you navigate the platform or delegate the Alpha administrator role to someone else.

Although you can carry out Alpha without a sign-up process and simply see who turns up on the night, knowing in advance who might attend will help you enormously with planning.

Helpful tip: A registration process that takes too long can discourage potential guests. Ask only what you really need to know—for example, if they have any special dietary needs in case you plan to serve food.

Guest Support

Yes, you can. This is a great way to keep your guests engaged in case they miss an episode or want to watch one again.

To do this, go to My Alpha and click on your course; select the chapter you want to share and, instead of choosing the option download, copy the link from Vimeo o Brightcove and share it with your Alpha guest.

Each course is different. Some churches like to organize them into age or interest groups, while others prefer to combine them into mixed groups. If after the first or second week you think it's best to swap out some guests, you can do so.

You can also find other workouts by accessing your account My Alpha and selecting “Learning center”. There you can see more resources like “The Basics of Alpha”, “The ministry of prayer”, among other videos that can help you.
