What is an alpha series and how is it used?
The Alpha Series These are short videos that are shown at each meeting and help guide the conversation. Each episode explores important questions about faith and is designed to be watched in a group.
You don't need to prepare a lesson: the videos present the topic, and each series includes questions or discussion guides to facilitate dialogue.

Alpha Youth Series is designed for teenagers aged 13-18, offering them a space to explore questions about life, faith, and purpose. It presents the core ideas of the Christian faith in a relevant, accessible, and engaging way, aiming for universal connection and encouraging young people to confidently invite their friends, regardless of their background or circumstances.

It is not a restrictive script, but a guide to help formulate the episode's talk inspired by Alpha Youth Series, as you will find the questions and key points from there.
Family series
The Marriage Course
Nicky and Sila Lee, authors and creators of The Marriage Course, were also leaders at Holy Trinity Brompton, in London, where these courses have grown and developed alongside Alpha.
Since it began in 1996, themarriage course has been run in over 117 countries and has supported over 1.5 million couples. Some people take the course to strengthen their marriage and then decide to try Alpha, while others choose to do the marriage course after having attended Alpha.
Pre-Marital Course
The Engaged Couples' Course (Pre-Marital) is an opportunity to invest in your relationship through five sessions, either in-person or online, designed to help couples communicate better, understand and appreciate their differences, and prepare for the challenges that may arise in marriage.
Developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, who were leaders at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, this course has been implemented alongside Alpha in over 117 countries and has supported more than 1.5 million couples since its inception in 1996.
Parenting Course
The Parenting Course is designed to support parents and caregivers through the challenges of raising children. Through practical talks and discussion forums, it offers tools to strengthen relationships with children and grow together as a family.
It is designed to accompany the different stages of parenting, from childhood to adolescence.
After Alpha
The Bible with Nicky and Pippa
Nicky Gumbel is the pioneer of Alpha and former vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, in London, a church he led with his wife, Pippa. Together, in 2009, they launched The Bible with commentary by Nicky and Pippa Gumbel as a daily email for their congregation. Since then, it has become a successful app, book, podcast, and website with followers around the world.
Alpha Devotionals
Alpha LAC Devotionals are designed to accompany teenagers and young adults who have already done Alpha, helping them take their next steps in faith and deepen their relationship with Jesus.
At the same time, they are a practical tool for teen and youth leaders, offering content that facilitates mentorship, group reflection, and conversations about faith in daily life. These devotionals aim to continue creating spaces for encounter, growth, and discipleship, beyond the Alpha course.
