At Alpha, we believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith. It’s our aim to resource the church in its evangelistic mission through the Alpha course, a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith.

Over the last 25 years, we estimate that over 30 million people have participated in the course, in over 100 countries, and our hope is that by the end of 2033, at least 100 million people will have participated in an Alpha course and heard the good news of Jesus.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to support Alpha’s digital growth across Latin America by maintaining and optimizing our regional websites — pruebaalpha.org, vemproalpha.org, and alphaados.org — and ensuring they provide an engaging, high-quality user experience.

This person will also act as the go-to digital support for the National Alpha Offices (NAOs), helping them with their technical and online communication needs — from website updates and digital tools to troubleshooting email or basic configuration issues.

We are looking for a tech-savvy, curious, and proactive person who loves solving problems and helping others make the most of digital tools.

Key responsibilities

Manage and regularly update Alpha’s main regional websites (WordPress), ensuring a consistent, user-friendly, and visually appealing experience.
Optimize websites for SEO, performance, accessibility, and security.
Track and analyze website performance using Matomo and similar tools, providing insights and recommendations.
Assistance with Office package.
Creating or updating landing pages and web content.
Troubleshooting minor technical issues.
Coordinate with external developers or designers when needed to implement new features or fix complex issues.
Collaborate with the communications and marketing teams to align website goals with social media and digital campaigns.
Identify digital opportunities or tools that could help NAOs strengthen their online presence and engagement.

Essential Skills, knowledge and experience

Has a personal faith in Jesus that embraces the Alpha DNA
Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
Proven experience in digital communications, web management, or technical support roles
Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and SEO principles
Experience with Matomo or similar platforms, and web performance tools
Ability to troubleshoot and solve basic technical issues (emails, domains, or integrations)
Familiarity with digital marketing and social media integration
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
A team player with a service-oriented attitude
A personal faith in Jesus and alignment with Alpha’s mission and values

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience

Experience with tools such as GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, or similar
Understanding of UX/UI best practices and web accessibility standards
Experience with email marketing platforms (Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, etc.)
Problem solver
Understanding of Alpha’s key audiences and the denominational spread of the global church which we serve.
Significant and recent exposure to Alpha.
Speak Portuguese
