At Alpha, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore the Christian faith. Our goal is to equip the church in its mission to share the Gospel through the Alpha course, a series of sessions that explore the Christian faith.

Over the last 25 years, we estimate that over 30 million people have participated in the course, in over 100 countries, and our hope is that by the end of 2033, at least 100 million people will have participated in an Alpha course and heard the good news of Jesus.

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to strengthen Alpha Latin America’s visual communication by creating high-quality, engaging, and culturally relevant design assets that support the growth of Alpha across the region.

The Graphic Design Support will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop creative solutions that communicate Alpha’s mission across multiple audiences, channels and countries.

This role plays an important part in maintaining visual consistency, elevating the quality of regional communications, and providing creative support for campaigns, events, products and fundraising initiatives throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

The successful candidate will combine excellent design skills with creativity, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

Creative Design

Create high-quality visual assets for digital and print channels, supporting Alpha’s marketing and communications initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Design creative materials for regional campaigns, events, product launches, training initiatives and church engagement activities.
Develop social media graphics, presentations, eBooks, reports, landing page assets, email graphics, video assets, templates and other branded materials.
Support the creation of event branding and promotional materials.

Brand Consistency

Ensure all creative materials follow Alpha’s global and regional brand guidelines.
Adapt existing global creative assets for Latin American audiences while maintaining visual consistency.
Apply brand guidelines across different formats and channels.
Share creative ideas and suggestions to improve visual communication.

Creative Production & Organization

Prepare digital and print-ready artwork when required.
Create editable Canva templates and resources for regional and National Office teams.
Organize and maintain design files, templates and creative assets.
Support the development of visual resources for fundraising, church engagement and other regional initiatives.

Collaboration

Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to deliver creative assets according to project needs and timelines.
Collaborate with regional teams, National Offices and Alpha International creative teams when appropriate.
Receive feedback and make design adjustments to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Has a personal faith in Jesus that embraces the Alpha DNA

Proven experience in graphic design, either professionally, through freelance work, internships or academic projects.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
Experience creating digital and print marketing materials.
Experience designing content for social media and digital campaigns.
Strong typography, layout, composition and visual storytelling skills.
Experience working with Canva and creating editable templates.
Ability to adapt designs for different audiences, formats and communication channels while maintaining brand consistency.
Understanding of branding principles and ability to apply brand guidelines consistently.
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects, manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience

Experience working remotely with multicultural teams.
Experience working for nonprofit organizations or ministries.
Motion graphics or basic video editing (Premiere Pro or After Effects).
Illustration skills.
Photography or photo editing experience.
Experience designing presentations and fundraising materials.
Basic knowledge of Figma.
Working knowledge of Portuguese

Mon–Fri: Part-time (4 hours per day), with flexibility to choose working hours between 9:00am and 7:00pm in the employee's local time zone
10 working days holiday per annum
3-month probationary period
Part-time, with availability for weekend event schedules or holiday evenings.
