The directors of Alpha International write:

"We have always wanted to allow those who run an Alpha International Course the flexibility to adapt when deemed necessary to take into account local needs and where there is a desire to preserve the essential elements, nature, DNA, and identity of the course."However, experience has shown that this has been misunderstood, and the resulting loss of integrity in some courses has led to considerable confusion.Since our resources are widely shared on a global platform, we feel the need to have a clear copyright statement to preserve trust and quality control.

1) With the exception of books (in which the author declares to own the copyright), all resources of Alpha International, including written material, audiovisual resources, graphics, and software, including both online and offline materials, are the intellectual property of Alpha International. Alpha International's resources cover a wide range of ministries, including Alpha and post-Alpha resources, the Marriage Course, the Pre-Marriage Course, the Parenting Children Course, and the Parenting Teenagers Course.

2) Under no circumstances may any part of any Alpha International resource be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying, recording, downloading, or any information storage or retrieval system, without the written permission of the copyright holder or the agent of that holder.

3) The use of Alpha International resources is only permitted when it is done in conjunction with the execution or promotion of Alpha International courses. Resale or payment in any other connection with any Alpha International resource is not allowed.

4)Alpha International requests that the name 'Alpha,' or similar names, not be used in connection with any other Christian course. This request is made in order to:

-Avoid confusion caused by different courses with similar titles
-Ensure the uniformity and integrity of Alpha.
- Maintain trust in the Alpha Directory.

5) Alpha International acknowledges that minor adaptations to Alpha International courses may occasionally be desirable. These should refer only to the duration of the conversations or the number of sessions. In each case, the essential character of the course must be maintained.

If an Alpha International course is adapted, the person responsible must:

- Use the course only in their own church or parish
- Not allow the course to be used elsewhere
- Not publish or promote the course.

This statement replaces all previous statements related to copyright in any Alpha International resource.
